We are 2km to the local village of Séglien with bar, tabac, excellent shop and internet cafe.
Pont Samoël, with it's lakeside crêperie, organic food, with regular live music is also only 2km away. You can walk or it’s a short drive.

The area has lovely local walks and good cycling, mountain-biking and pony-trekking for the adventurous.









We’re only 10km to the water sports and beach of Lake Guerlédan which runs the length of the ancient forest of Quenécan. There is sailing available here. Canoeing is at Guémené-sur-Scorff on the picturesque Nantes-Brest canal.





Local markets include the organic Sunday market at Bon Repos Abbey, a ruined monastery with outdoor events from Easter onwards.









There is an outdoor swimming pool at the nearby town of Pontivy. There are flumes, whirlpool and Jacuzzi in Loudeac. And of course you can swim in the nearby lakes or sea.





At least one daytrip must be to the beach.

The long, sandy South coast beaches near Lorient are only an hour away in the car.

There are boat trips to the islands.




And we can go North to the rocky pink granite coast (1hour 20minutes but worth the extra distance)

There is an excellent accessible aquarium and local steam-train ride





The ancient megaliths at Carnac and the surrounding area are ideal for those with an interest in history and an impressive and enjoyable day out by the sea









Visit Chez Dame Nature in Meslan. This accessible animal park is home to rare and miniature animals, and obscure local breeds of goats and deer









There are castles and chateaux to visit including Chateau Rohan in Pontivy

Guémené-sur-Scorff has a traditional boulangerie and café’. It has a summer market and is a pretty town to visit and walk around.

Also there is a local English-speaking doctor and pharmacy.

The nearest hospital is 15 minutes away in Pontivy.
